The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) enforces a set of guidelines and regulations for products claiming to prevent, destroy, repel, or mitigate pests. When promotional materials suggest that products containing Citronella function as bug repellents, the EPA categorizes this as a pesticide claim. Consequently, such products must undergo a registration and approval process with the EPA. There have been instances where companies have faced class action lawsuits for marketing unregistered products.

Due to the regulations enforced by the EPA, we will not make any claims with our outdoor candle. We’ve received feedback that our customers desire a candle suitable for outdoor use, and in response, we developed our Outdoor Citronella Candle specifically to meet this need.
